without their retest admission ticket. If you have lost your ticket, contact the
testing coordinator immediately for instructions to obtain another copy. Please be
aware that obtaining another ticket from the Psychological corporation will take
approximately two weeks.
Applying for special administration for candidates with disabilities:
Please notify the Test Center at least two weeks in advance if you desire
accommodations for a disability. Braille and large-print editions of the MAT are
available for candidates with visual impairments. All buildings at TROY-Dothan
are handicapped accessible. Tables and chairs, not desks, are the standard seating
in testing rooms.
If your disability requires extra time for assistance to take the MAT, you will be given a non-standard administration. To qualify for a nonstandard administration, you must provide the Test Center with a current letter from a licensed physician, optometrist, or psychologist (including title, address, and telephone number) on his or her letterhead describing the nature of your disability as it applies to taking a multiple choice, standardized test, and specific accommodations you will require for testing. The testing coordinator will contact the Psychological Corporation on your behalf and discuss the appropriate arrangements. The decision to administer the test to you will be made by the Controlled Test Center and the Psychological Corporation staff.
Residual ACTThe Residual ACT exam is administered at TROY-Dothan for first-time freshman under the age of twenty-one or to TROY University-Dothan students who require the ACT for an in-house scholarship. Residual ACT scores are only valid for the university where they were administered. Only the university receives your scores. You do not receive a copy, and the scores are non-transferable. It is to the student's benefit to take the national exam if at all possible. Registration packets for the national exam may be picked up in the Test Center, the Admissions Office or Counseling Services. If you are interested in taking the Residual ACT, it is administered by appointment only. The fee is $45.00. Please contact the testing coordinator for specific information.
