Frequently Asked Questions
Why are two official transcripts required?
The University policy is to collect two official copies of each transcript which
the graduate applicant has. One set of the transcripts will be marked ADVISEMENT
and sent to the applicants department upon admission to be used for that
purpose. This procedure prevents having to re-request information for the
department/school after admission.
Is it possible to take any of the
graduate entrance tests GMAT, MAT or GRE for any TROY-Dothan program?
The exception is the MBA program for which the GMAT is the required test. In the
other
degree programs, the applicant must choose either the MAT or GRE.
How do I arrange to take the Millers Analogy
Test?
This is the only graduate test which TROY-Dothan Campus administers. Applicants can arrange to
take it by calling the Finance and Business Affairs Office at 334-983-6556 extension #212
or by calling the branch office number at Fort Rucker 334-598-2443 for further
information. Payment is required at the time the reservation is taken and it is
advisable to make arrangements to take the test well in advance of the test
date. It takes about 3 weeks for the official score report to arrive at the
university.
Is there an application deadline?
Yes. The date is on the graduate application which is on the web. The date is
set one month prior to registration.
If I submit an application and am unable to
attend the term which I had indicated but wish to enroll later will I be
required to submit another application?
The hard copy application is retained for one year; however, materials that have
been submitted are retained for a maximum of three years from the term of
application. If an applicant did not enroll and it has been less than one year,
he/she should call the Graduate Admissions Office and ask to have the
application updated to another term. Otherwise, if it was within the past three
years another application must be completed but another application fee is not
assessed.
How current must the test score
be?
All test scores submitted must be within the past 5 years. Otherwise, the test
must be retaken and submitted.
Can I complete a master’s degree on the weekend?
No. There are a few courses that are offered in the weekend format; however, a
degree can not be completed with weekend course offerings.
