What is the passing score, and what happens if I don't pass the test?
The minimum passing score set by the SDE for both the Reading and Math tests is Level 4 and Level 3 for the Writing Assessment. If you do not attain the minimum passing score on any portions of the test, you may retake that test on the next test date. There is no limit to the number of times the tests may be retaken.
An individual who does not attain the minimum passing score on a given test may satisfy the test requirement through the combination of the individual's test score with the grade point average (GPA) on certain courses in the undergraduate core curriculum. If the calculation results in a passing score, the test requirement will be considered to have been met. The individual must have attained at least a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale before the formula may be applied.
The second option for individuals not attaining a passing score on the APTTP is to attend and pass a remediation course designed by the SDE to satisfy the test requirement. The individual must pass and end-of-course assessment or may opt to repeat the WorkKeys test(s). The remediation courses will be offered annually at selected sites throughout the state.
REMINDER: You will NOT be allowed to intern without having passed either the ABST or the APTTP.

When will I receive my scores?
The projected timeframe for receiving the APTTP score reports is four - six weeks. You will receive a report and you will indicate on your registration form that a score report be sent to TROY-Dothan Campus. |
