Copper Blade Review
The Annual Literary
Collection of the
Creative Writing Club
We are not currently accepting submissions
The "Copper" stand for "Wire" and "Blade" stand for "Grass"--an interpretation of the Wiregrass, the area from which the creative writings are generally collected. The name which fits so well was suggested by John Corbin at a meeting of the Creative Writing Club way back when the club first started thinking about publishing such a literary collection.

The Troy University Creative Writing Club (CWC) on the Dothan, Alabama campus publishes an annual literary collection called the Copper Blade Review. We accept submissions for the collection from anyone interested at no cost and an elected committee within the club chooses from the submissions which works will go into the next issue. You do not have to be a CWC member to offer your works for consideration to the collection and writers of every age and caliber are invited to submit.
There are two categories in the Copper Blade Review: prose and poetry. Prose is considered to be anything (short stories, essays, one-act plays) other than poetry. There is no limit to the amount of submissions one author can make but only 1-3 works are subject to be chosen for publication depending on submission volume and publication space. Multiple works may be submitted individually but please do not submit multiple works in one large bound collection.
