The Nonprofit Certificate Program is specifically designed for those currently working in nonprofits and for those who want to enter the field. The program will prepare nonprofit professionals to meet the increasingly challenging demands of the nonprofit sector. Students will develop the skills needed to become a part of one of the fastest growing service sectors. Through this program, students will learn core knowledge necessary to be an effective leader, staff member, board member or volunteer. Skills to build programs, manage people and resources will be increased in order to maintain a healthy organization.
The Nonprofit Certificate Program is designed to be completed in about 12 months. Each individual course will award a certificate of completion. After completing the program, students will be awarded a nonprofit certificate by Troy University in Dothan.
Core courses consist of a total of seven classes totaling 46 hours. Students may begin the program with any course. A minimum total of 14 hours must be completed from other areas of Continuing Education making the overall Nonprofit Certificate Program a minimum total of 60 hours.
