What is Continuing
Education?
Troy University through the Continuing Education Center is
dedicated to meeting the training needs of the Wiregrass and surrounding
areas. The Dothan Campus program includes certificate programs, customized
business and industry training, personal development and professional
development.
The Continuing Education Unit (CEU) is a
nationally recognized method of quantifying the
time spent in the classroom during professional
development and training activities. One CEU is
equal to ten contact hours.
The primary purpose of the CEU is to provide
a permanent record of the educational
accomplishments of an individual who has
completed significant non-academic educational
and career enhancement experiences.
For courses that
need to be customized to meet the needs of your business, call the
office at 334-983-0005 for more information.
See calendar below for office closings.

When is Registration?
Register immediately and pay fees within
five days to make registration official. Please register as early
as possible to guarantee a space in the class. Minimum enrollment levels are established for each course. When
enrollment levels fall below the level, the course is cancelled. When the
Center cancels a course, students will be notified and given a full refund.
Confirmation notices of registration are not sent. You must mark your
calendar with dates and times. Payment is due at the time
of registration. Individuals may pay by cash, check or credit card.
For company sponsored individuals, an invoice may be requested.
Attendance Policy
Failure to attend a non-credit course does
not constitute withdrawal. The office of Continuing Education
must be notified directly of a cancellation at least three
business days before the start date of a class in order to
receive a full refund. Refunds will not be made once a
class begins. Participant substitutes may be made upon
notification to the Continuing Education office.
What if the student has to cancel?
Withdrawals from class must be made at least five days before the course
begins. If you cannot attend a class, it may be possible to send someone in
your place. Once a class begins, no refunds will be made.
