RUNNING RECORDS
AND MISCUE ANALYSIS

Cynthia Hicks
This session
provides training in using Running Records and Miscue Analysis as an

a reliable record and how that record can be interpreted. Two options for
scoring Running Records will be taught. Quick appraisal errors and
self-corrections are counted, and the accuracy of the reading can be
recorded. A second analysis of how the reader is working on text allows
teachers to monitor changes in the ways children problem-solve on text. Book
may be purchased at the bookstore. Class will meet in Adams 112.
