Sandra Hatfield-Sauls is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor with 15 years of experience in counseling and Social Services. She is currently serving as Student Counselor at Troy University Dothan Campus. Mrs. Hatfield-Sauls can be reached at 983-6556 ext. 1 417.
Counseling services are available to currently enrolled students at Troy University's Dothan Campus. Services are free and include short term goal oriented/solution focused, personal counseling sessions. Referrals can be made for longer term counseling and to community resource and educational programs.

Counseling services are offered to help students address a variety of issues, such as: family problems; stress; time/organization management; anxiety; loneliness; depression; anger management; adjusting to college life; and, drug/alcohol abuse. If any other problems arise, speak with counselor to discuss needs and appropriateness of services. Counseling services are confidential and not part of the student's academic/permanent record.
Personal Counseling is confidential and your counseling records are not part of your student records and will not be included in transcripts. Your counseling records are kept in a locked file cabinet in the student counselor's office. Your records cannot be released to any other individuals or agencies without your written consent. However, information may be released in cases where there is foreseeable threat to harm self or others or if ordered by a court subpoena. Requests to review your records should be submitted in writing to the student counselor.
