Forensic Science Summer Program

Have you ever wanted to be part of CSI? Now you can!
Troy University College of Arts and Sciences in conjunction with the Dothan Police Department and the Houston County Sheriff's Office are holding the first annual Troy University Forensic Science Summer Program.

The program will be held June 25-29, 2012 and is open to all Houston County and Dothan City high school students. The program will consist of 4½ days of intense Crime Scene investigation and instruction.

Learn the background of the different sciences that make up crime scene investigation, and use that information with hands on training in latent prints, blood splatter, bullet trajectory with lasers and murder investigation. We also will be observing how dogs find evidence in the field and get to view the state of the art crime scene investigation equipment that Dothan and Houston County has to offer.

The cost for the 4 ½ day event is $350. This includes all supplies, lunch and two snacks for 4 days, a program shirt. You must provide your own travel to the Troy University, Dothan Campus. Please advance register for the class. We can only accept the first 50 people who register.
