Biographical Sketch William F. "Bill" Church is a long-time resident of Dothan, Alabama.  He is very interested in and knowledgeable about the history of the city and area.

Scope     Approximately 180 photographic prints taken by Quay Fortner, City of Dothan Tax Assessor's Office, of "Frogtown" in Dothan, AL.  Dated March 1958.  Depicts property for tax purposes.  Images include houses, businesses, churches, vacant lots, street scenes, automobiles, and occasionally adults and children.

Organization  Images numbered in pencil on reverse.  Arranged in order of those numbers.  Some numbers are missing.

Provenance    Bill Church prevented one of Quay Fortner's relatives, who was cleaning out his former home, from tossing these images into the burn pit.  Unclear why Fortner retained these photos.

Processing Notes        Pictures scanned by AWHC staff.  Numbered on back of each print by persons unknown; AWHC staff retained those numbers and arranged images accordingly.
