Biographical / Historical Sketch:  Jessica Price, a student at Carver Middle School in Dothan, Alabama, conducted an oral history interview with Mr. Sherman Rose, one of the Tuskegee Airmen and a resident of Dothan.  Miss Price prepared and delivered a presentation based on her research.  She donated this material to the AWHC as an adjunct to its Veterans History Project (RG024)

Scope/Content Note:  Collection consists of an audiotaped interview and transcript between Price and Rose, conducted in January 2007, a DVD recording of that interview, a CD-Rom containing Price's PowerPoint presentation (inserted videoclips) to her school, and digitally-scanned photographs.

Ephemera includes documentation (via news clips and photocopied newspaper articles) of transfer by Ms. Price and Mr. Rose of the interview and its products to the AWHC, April 11, 2007.

Organization:  Organized into 4 series:  1. Interview Materials;  2. Photographs—personal and Research;  3. Research And Interview Products;  4. News Items.

Provenance:  Donor agreement signed 2-23-07 but physical materials turned over to AWCH on 4-11-07.  News coverage of actual donation led to TV clips and two newspaper articles included in the collection.

Processing Notes:  Contains hard copies of Interview Transcript, original audiocassette of interview, and original digitized copies of Video Interview and Ms. Price’s PowerPoint presentation.  WTVY news clip recorded from home television by Ms. Liz Olliff (Dr. Olliff’s wife) on VHS.  Digital scans of still images and documents by Dr. Olliff; digitization of audiocassette and VHS, and copies of DVDs by Lee Scarborough, Troy University—Dothan Campus IT and Media division.
