Services Provided

TROY-Dothan Campus Student Support Services provides a wide range of services, all with one goal in mind: to see you stay in school and graduate. Here are some of the free services we provide:

  • One on one and group tutoring* in a variety of subjects.
  • Academic counseling (choosing a major, courses to take, scheduling of courses, transfers, etc.)
  • A nice "how to" video and book library.
  • Personal counseling, whether it be problem solving, or just someone to talk with.
  • Vocational counseling and career planning.
  • Preparation of resumes, cover letters, references, etc.
  • Assistance to those with disabilities, see or unseen (Learning Disability, anxiety disorders, etc.)
  • Assistance finding financial aid, scholarships, crisis assistance funds, etc.
  • Assistance in securing admission and financial aid for enrollment in four-year institutions.
  • Assistance in securing admission and financial aid for enrollment in graduate and professional programs.
  • Study, note taking and test taking skills, etc.
  • Participation in cultural events (plays, concerts, etc). We buy tickets and give them to you Free!
  • Referrals to other health professionals or organizations (we have over 100 referral resources)
  • Conflict resolution. Have complaint about any TROY-Dothan staff, faculty or policy? Let us help.
  • Special services for students with limited English proficiency.
  • Direct financial assistance (grant aid) to current SSS participants who are receiving Federal Pell Grants.
  • Textbook loaner program (you can also donate your used textbooks to help others).

*Become a tutor! Earn some cash while gaining great experience for life and your resume.
