Joining Student Support Services

Relax, it’s fairly painless. Here’s how it works:

• Fill out the application (in Adobe .pdf format) and bring it to Malone 116.
• Sit at the computer and point and click your way through the FOCUS II Career Interest Inventory.
• Schedule and complete the assessment.
• Meet with our counselor
• Zip through a computerized study skills inventory (another point and click adventure)
• Do a short test of your Math and English skills.
• Write a paragraph and answer a survey.

Note: None of this counts on you academic record. We’re just trying to determine where you might need help and how we can provide it.

Yes, it seems like a lot, but it’s worth it. You’ll learn about yourself and remember, once you’re in the program all our services are provided free of charge. Invest a little time in yourself, you’ll be glad you did.
