Marty LeBlanc of Columbia is the recipient of the Douglas C. Patterson Leadership Scholarship. LeBlanc is pursuing a master’s degree in Alternative A Secondary Education with a concentration in Math at Troy University. The Patterson Scholarship is a one-year scholarship that pays 9 hours of graduate tuition at the Dothan Campus. To quality, a graduate student must submit a statement expressing the history of their commitment to leadership. The scholarship is available to a first-time and full-time graduate student who is admitted to the College of Education. A teacher at P.A.S.S. Academy in Dothan, LeBlanc holds an undergraduate degree in math with a minor in psychology from Troy University. She is the state treasurer for the Gamma Beta Phi honor society.
