Troy University Honors Outstanding Students

DOTHAN - Troy University recognized nearly 40 students for their excellence in the classroom during a recent ceremony at Calvary Baptist Church in Dothan. The annual Honors Convocation rewards Dothan Campus students enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Education, the Sorrell College of Business and the University’s Continuing Education Program.

Janette Hopkins-Branch (center) of Daleville is the recipient of the Troy University Continuing Education Award. Dr. Don Jeffrey, Dothan Campus vice chancellor, and Kathy Farley, coordinator of business and industry training, congratulate Hopkins-Branch on the award. She earned a certificate in Thanatology through the Continuing Education Center. The licensed social worker is also an ordained minister and Red Cross volunteer.


Dee Anna Jordan (center) of Dothan is the recipient of the Troy University Student Service Award. Dr. Don Jeffrey, Dothan Campus vice chancellor, and Amy Farver, student services coordinator, congratulate Jordan on the honor. She also received the College of Arts and Sciences undergraduate Dean’s Award, during the ceremony. The history major helped revive the History and Social Science Club at TROY and serves as the organization’s program coordinator. She also recently represented the University at the Alabama Regional Meeting of Phi Alpha Theta in Birmingham, where she presented an award winning paper.
