Troy University Salutes Armed Forces

Troy University student Sonya Burks of Midland City pens a thank you note to a soldier during the Salute to Armed Forces reception on the Dothan Campus. Her message and others will be sent overseas as part of Operation Support Our Troops. The reception was held in conjunction with the University’s annual Irish Week celebration.

 

 

 


A World War II Bluejacket’s Manuel, telegram and photo of Alex McMahan, Sr. are treasured keepsakes for Troy University Financial Aid and Veterans’ Affairs Assistant Director Alex McMahan, Jr. During the recent Salute to Armed Forces reception on the Dothan Campus, faculty, staff and students brought mementos from beloved veterans to share with others.
