TROY – Troy
University’s Small Business Development
Center is hosting a one-day workshop
aimed at teaching small businesses the
art of successful proposal writing.
“RFPs from A
to Z: Producing a Winning Proposal in
Response to a Request for Proposal” will
be presented by Chuck Keller, president
of Keller Proposal Development and
Training from 8:15 a.m. until 4:45 p.m.
on July 19 at the Troy University
Continuing Education Center in Dothan.
The seminar
will provide practical tips for RFP
administration and analysis, proposal
strategizing and outlining and proposal
writing and illustration.
Registrants
will receive a full day of classroom
training, a copy of
Proposal Writing: The Art of Friendly
and Winning Persuasion – the
workshop textbook, printed copies of the
workshop PowerPoint slides, and lunch.
“The
workshop is designed to help businesses
of all sizes, but especially small
businesses with little or no experience
in responding to RFPs,” said Judy Callin,
a small business counselor at the SBDC.
Based in
Pensacola, Fla., Keller has been in the
proposal profession for 23 years. Since
forming KPD&T in 1990, he has served
more than 280 proposal and technical
communication clients and is the
co-author of the workshop textbook,
Proposal Writing. Keller
holds a master of science in technical
communication, a master of business
administration degree and a bachelor of
science in journalism. He is a former
newspaper reporter and a retired Naval
Reserve Commander.
Seating is
limited for the seminar and the
registration is deadline is July 7.
