University Awards Scholarships

DOTHAN

Kecia Corbitt of Dothan is the recipient of the George Y. & Johnnie R. Malone Perpetual Memorial Scholarship.  Corbitt is majoring in psychology.  The George Y. & Johnnie R. Malone Scholarship is a tuition-waiver scholarship available at the Dothan Campus to an undergraduate student who has an overall college GPA of at least a 3.0. To qualify, a student must be a resident of Houston County and must demonstrate financial need.


 

Brandy Hackett of Dothan is the recipient of the Ruth Elizabeth LaPointe Milner Scholarship. Hackett is majoring in accounting at Troy University. Milner Scholarships are tuition waiver scholarships available to mothers, housewives, or widows.  To qualify, applicants must be seeking an undergraduate degree in business at the Dothan Campus, after making careers as homemakers.

 

 

Phong Huynh of Dothan is the recipient of the National Alumni Association Scholarship. Huynh plans to major in general business at Troy University.  The National Alumni Scholarship is a tuition waiver scholarship available at the Dothan Campus to a full-time student.  To qualify, a student must be a freshman who has earned no more than 30 semester hours at a college or university.

 

 

Casey Littleton of Dothan is a recipient of the Broughton W. & Marion R. Connell Memorial Leadership Scholarship.  Littleton plans to major in accounting at Troy University.  The Connell Scholarship is a four-year scholarship which pays full tuition and fees at the Dothan Campus.  To qualify, an undergraduate student must exhibit leadership skills and have a minimum ACT composite score of 22 and a minimum high school GPA of 3.0.

 

Michael Marks of Dothan is the recipient of the George H. Malone Memorial Scholarship.  Marks plans to major in management at Troy University.  The George H. Malone Scholarship is a tuition waiver scholarship available at the Dothan Campus to an incoming freshman who is majoring in business and who has a high school GPA of at least 3.0.  The recipient of this scholarship must demonstrate good moral character, must have a well-rounded school career as an individual by participation in extracurricular and/or community service, and must reside within a 50 mile radius of the Dothan Campus.
 

Justin Massey of Dothan is the recipient of the Gulf South Communications Scholarship. Massey plans to major in English at Troy University.  The scholarship was established by Gulf South Communications which operates three stations in Dothan, WDJR (Country 96.6), WESP (Rock 102.5), and WZND (The Beat 105.3).  The scholarship is available to a Dothan Campus student who has a GPA of at least 2.5.  To qualify, a student must be majoring in management, marketing or English.

 

Jennifer Brooke Morgan of Dothan is a recipient of the Trojan Pride Scholarship.  Morgan plans to major in marketing at Troy University.  The Trojan Pride Scholarship is a tuition waiver scholarship available at the Dothan Campus to an incoming freshman who has no prior college credit and who demonstrates leadership potential and a history of academic excellence.

 

 

Tamara Nelson of Dothan is the recipient of the Junior College Transfer Scholarship.  Nelson plans to major in biology education at Troy University.  The Junior College Transfer Scholarship is a two-year, half-tuition scholarship available at the Dothan Campus to current transfer students who have an overall college GPA of at least 3.5.

 


 

Stevie Passante of Dothan is the recipient of the Broughton W. & Marion R. Connell Memorial Leadership Scholarship.  Passante plans to major in biology at Troy University.  The Connell Scholarship is a four-year scholarship which pays full tuition and fees at the Dothan Campus.  To qualify, an undergraduate student must exhibit leadership skills and have a minimum ACT composite score of 22 and a minimum high school GPA of 3.0.


 

Juliane Pezzella of Dothan is the recipient of the Junior College Transfer Scholarship.  Pezzella plans to major in English at Troy University.  The Junior College Transfer Scholarship is a two-year, half-tuition scholarship available at the Dothan Campus to current transfer students who have an overall college GPA of at least 3.5.

Connell Memorial Leadership Scholarship.  Sowell plans to major in English at Troy University.  The Connell Scholarship is a four-year scholarship which pays full tuition and fees at the Dothan Campus.  To qualify, an undergraduate student must exhibit leadership skills and have a minimum ACT composite score of 22 and a minimum high school GPA of 3.0.


 

Brittany Walker of Dothan is a recipient of the Broughton W. & Marion R. Connell Memorial Leadership Scholarship.  Walker plans to major in elementary education at Troy University.  The Connell Scholarship is a four-year scholarship which pays full tuition and fees at the Dothan Campus.  To qualify, an undergraduate student must exhibit leadership skills and have a minimum ACT composite score of 22 and a minimum high school GPA of 3.0.


 

Heather Williamson of Dothan is a recipient of the Dothan High School Class of 1953 Scholarship.  Williamson plans to major in English at Troy University.  The Dothan High School Class of 1953 Scholarship was established with contributions from members of the Dothan High School Class of 1953 in commemoration of their 50th anniversary year.  The scholarship is applicable toward undergraduate tuition for one semester at the Dothan Campus.  The scholarship is available to a graduate of Dothan High School who is an incoming freshman with a minimum high school GPA of 3.0.  Williamson also received the Broughton W. & Marion R. Connell Memorial Leadership Scholarship.  The Connell Scholarship is a four-year scholarship which pays full tuition and fees at the Dothan Campus.  To qualify, an undergraduate student must exhibit leadership skills and have a minimum ACT composite score of 22 and a minimum high school GPA of 3.0.

David Woodham of Dothan is a recipient of the Broughton W. & Marion R. Connell Memorial Leadership Scholarship.  Woodham plans to major in criminal justice at Troy University.  The Connell Scholarship is a four-year scholarship which pays full tuition and fees at the Dothan Campus.  To qualify, an undergraduate student must exhibit leadership skills and have a minimum ACT composite score of 22 and a minimum high school GPA of 3.0.
