As part of Safe Day at Troy
University, OSHA Compliance Assistance Specialist Bill Bice
(right) provides safety information to Howard Allman of the Navy
Explosive Ordinance School at Eglin. Approximately 100
representatives from area businesses and government agencies
attended the event, which is sponsored by the Wiregrass Safety
Alliance. Members include the American Society of Safety
Engineers, Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce, Durden Outdoor
Displays, Dothan/Houston County Emergency Management Agency,
U.S. Army Combat Readiness Center, OSHA and Troy University.

During Safe Day for Businesses, Scot
Mims, of Safety Solutions, discusses protective gear with Artee
Henderson, of Waste Management. The event, which is in its third
year at Troy University, is designed to educate businesses on
the latest in safety techniques, equipment and regulations.

Cliff Capps, of the U.S. Army Combat
Readiness Center at Fort Rucker, discusses composite risk
management with Jodi Abeling, of Gulf Coast Safety and Training,
during Safe Day at Troy University. The event, which is
sponsored by the Wiregrass Safety Alliance, attracts companies
from Alabama and surrounding states. Participants learn about
OSHA compliance and the latest safety techniques in a variety of
industries.
