Troy University Holds Football Camp for Kids in Dothan

Young football players take part in running drills during the fourth annual Larry Blakeney Troy University Football Camp. The children practiced the fundamentals of the game with Blakeney, who is the head coach for the TROY Trojans. Each summer, the Troy University Alumni Association – Dothan Chapter hosts the one-day event on the Dothan Campus. Corporate sponsors include:  DairyFresh, CenturyTel, Photorama, Durden Outdoor, Pig Out Bar-B-Que, Emerald Coast RV Center, AmSouth, Dothan Leisure Services, Wiregrass Termite & Pest Control, ScreenTech, Holiday Inn Express, Quality Inn, Dothan Eagle, SportsTalk AM 560 WOOF “The Ball” and WOOF FM.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


During the recent Larry Blakeney Troy University Football Camp, area youngsters practice their passing. Approximately 250 children between the ages of six and thirteen participated in the camp, which was held on the Dothan Campus.

During the recent Larry Blakeney Troy University Football Camp, players from Eufaula’s Admiral Thomas H. Moorer Middle School pose for a photo with Troy University Head Football Coach Larry Blakeney (back row – left). The camp is held each summer on the Dothan Campus. It gives young football players a chance to practice the fundamentals of the game with Coach Blakeney and his staff.
