During Safe Day at Troy University, Bill Bice (right), OSHA compliance assistance specialist, presents the Wiregrass Safety Alliance Safety and Health Award to Mark Farmer, Sony Magnetic Products general manager of environment, safety and health. The award acknowledges Sony’s efforts to achieve and maintain the Star level of OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program. Safe Day, which is presented annually by the Wiregrass Safety Alliance, educates area businesses on the latest in safety techniques, equipment and regulations. Alliance members include the American Society of Safety Engineers, Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce, Durden Outdoor Displays, Dothan/Houston County Emergency Management Agency, OSHA and Troy University.
