DOTHAN –
The Troy University Continuing Education Center will host Alabama Law
Update 2005, an educational two-part program examining changes in the
law. Legal professionals are encouraged to attend the seminars, which
will be held November 4 and December 9 on the Dothan Campus.
Alabama Law Update
2005 will provide the latest information on topics including the
death tax, ethics, Vioxx litigation and criminal law. Health care
law, corporations and limited liability companies will also be
discussed.
Montgomery Attorney
Jere L. Beasley, senior member of the firm Beasley, Allen, Crow,
Methvin, Portis & Miles, P.C., is the featured speaker for the first
session. Beasley has practiced law as an advocate for victims of
wrongdoing since 1962. He has successfully tried hundreds of cases
and has been profiled in both Time Magazine and Business Week.
Guest speakers will
also include Judge Eugene Raymond Verin and attorneys Clayton Davis,
Alva M. Lambert, Jean Marie Leslie, J. Anthony McLain, Allen
Mitchell, Nick Shimoda and Tom Sorrells.
