DOTHAN – The Troy University Continuing Education Center is
partnering with Education To Go to make continuing education
courses available “Around the Globe, Around the Clock.” TROY
will celebrate the worldwide expansion of the Continuing
Education Program Thursday, December 8, with a press conference
and reception on the Dothan Campus. The events begin at 9 a.m.
at the Center, which is located in Adams Hall. The public is
invited to attend.
The Continuing
Education Center will continue to offer certificate programs,
customized business and industry training, and personal and
professional development courses on the Dothan Campus; but now
students can also choose to log on to their computer to train
for a new career, expand their horizons or learn a new hobby.
On-line course
offerings range from personal finance to parenting, digital
photography and Web page design. Students can even study French
or Spanish at their convenience. In all, more than 270 courses
are available.
Like the
continuing education courses taught on the Dothan Campus,
students will receive no academic credit. Continuing Education
Units (CEUs) are awarded upon satisfactory course completion. In
some cases, certificates are awarded.
