Troy State University Dothan has donated 11 Pentium 233
MMX computers with 15" monitors, and 8 printers to the
Community Intensive Treatment for Youth (C.I.T.Y.) Program of
Houston County. The C.I.T.Y. Skills Training Consortium is affiliated
with the Alabama College System and serves both at-risk male and female
youth, ages 12-17. The equipment will be used in the C.I.T.Y. Program's
Houston County location in Dothan. "We are glad to reallocate these
state resources to a program that benefits youth in Houston County,"
noted Ronnie Creel, Director of TSUD's Information Services Division.
The purpose of the C.I.T.Y. program allows at-risk students an
opportunity to obtain their GED, remediate to grade level, and develop
pro-social skills. In addition, all students receive individual and
group counseling. For more information about the C.I.T.Y. Program of
Houston County, please contact Joy Suttle, Program Coordinator, at
334-702-4746.
