Telecourses
The Telecourse Program provides a quality education alternative to the traditional classroom. A Telecourse is a completely integrated instructional system that combines televised programs, a textbook and study guide, and other assignments with limited on-campus meetings for orientation, study sessions, and exams. Some Telecourses are Web-enhanced, incorporating e-mail and Internet information/assignment pages. DUE TO THE ACCELERATED FORMAT, ATTENDANCE AT THE ORIENTATION, STUDY SESSIONS, AND EXAMS IS MANDATORY. The Telecourse format maximizes learning opportunities by offering AM and PM class meeting options. Students will receive all telecourse tapes at the first meeting. Holds will be placed on the students records if telecourse tapes are not returned in the week of finals. For further information call (334) 983-6556, ext. 1326 or visit the Distance Learning Center in the Library/Technology Building, Rooms 104, 131, 133, and 148. SPECIAL NOTE: Students on probation will not be allowed to register for a Telecourse.
