In January 2003, the TROY-Dothan Campus asked
me to open the Archives of Wiregrass History and Culture (AWHC) and
challenged me to document the region and its people. You can
read more about the Archives' activities
here.
In addition, the TROY-Dothan Campus History
and Political Science Department (click

for its web pages) initiated a new Minor in Archival Studies--the
first and only program of its kind for undergraduates in the State
of Alabama. That minor consists of four required courses and
two electives (total = 18 semester hours). I will begin
teaching the first sequential course as of Fall Term 2003.
